Bhopal: “we all need to learn to leave our footprints, and not carbon footprints” says Ripu Daman, who is a marathoner, traveler, entrepreneur, blogger and Founder of Ploggers Of India. Ripu Daman is here to participate in the first ever biggest plogg run of the state organized by Fervid group in association with Bhopal Runners. This plogg run is also dedicated to the Pulwana attack martyrs.
Ripu Daman’s love affair with the environment has been further catalyzed by his solo travelling and running journey. He travels all over India to organize plogging drives and raise actionable awareness to beat single use plastic. However, his biggest focus is to engage kids in plogging as he believes that habits inculcated at that age are going to last a lifetime and they are going to be the leaders of change - A positive change!
Ripu Daman further said that I believe that if we want to make our enviorment litter free, it would be done if we develop a habit of plogging. There are three steps towards it.
• Do plogg run with your family and friends regularly
• This will be leading to set an example in front of society, which will also create awareness.
• This habit will automatically compel people to make changes in their daily habit of using plastic. This will create a big impact.

About Ploggers of India - It started in 2017 as a people's movement with a vision to make India a country of ploggers - one who takes responsibility of the trash and plastic around before blaming the government and agencies. Our endeavor is to organize plogging drives on a daily basis to make it a habit or part of our DNA. Where ploggers don't just clean up but also make lifestyle changes to cut down on single use plastic. In that regard, we do drives with Schools, NGOs, corporates, communities and marathon events. Some of the places we have plogged include Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ladakh, Bangalore, Kochi, Pune, Himachal, Singapore, Ireland, Paris, London, Colombo among others. We have organized more than 100 plogging drives over the last year and have ploggers in more than 20 cities.
